Handcrafted embroidery

Slow-made stitchwork, reimagined

We combine traditional needlecraft with modern techniques to create embroidered pieces that speak of place and new possibility. Our practice centers precision, material innovation, and quiet beauty.

Artisan at work stitching an embroidered sleeve

A brief atelier story: our studio began as a conversation between craft and curiosity. We test textiles, refine threads, and archive small techniques so every commission feels contemporary and rooted.

We source linen and cotton with low-impact dyes and pair them with digital patterning to ensure consistent scale and clarity. Each piece is prototyped, adjusted, and finished by hand; the result is an atelier product that reads as both art and utility.

Case study: a tailored jacket

Three short chapters show how a small commission became a new technique for surface texture.

Challenge

Client requested subtle texture that survives wear and cleaning. Traditional raised embroideries tended to flatten after laundering; the brief asked for resilience and tactility.

Approach

We prototyped layering threads with a thin backing and integrated a micro-stitch grid mapped by a digital pattern. This hybrid method preserves hand-direction and scales reliably across panels.

Result

The jacket retains texture even after repeated wear. The approach is now part of our sample library and informs bespoke and small-batch production alike.
